Eclipse Software Trainer

The Software Trainer is an important member of the ECLIPSE Product Team (reporting to the Product Manager) and is ultimately responsible for rolling out ECLIPSE training to all of our customers (which range from large International Institutions like the European Space Agency to small businesses operating in the Space Industry).

This position will work closely with the sales, delivery, support and software development teams, and will coordinate in-person and online training for various user types. The person fulfilling this position must be experienced in translating complex technological concepts into easy-to-understand lessons, tutorials and Manuals.

The candidate will interface with customers in the space sector with backgrounds in Quality and Product Assurance as well as Configuration and Project Management. An energetic personality, desire to learn and help others learn and a passion for innovation are required.

You will based in our office in the Netherlands, with with substantial travel to other Sapienza offices and client sites across Europe required.

• Develops a thorough understanding of the Sapienza ECLIPSE software, and its usage by our customers.
• Creates training materials by gathering information and techniques from subject matter experts.
• Prepare and maintain current product information, training data and training materials, as required, to successfully conduct in-person and online training classes.
• Determines the most effective approach to meet product learning needs of the audience.
• Delivers ECLIPSE general and Ad-Hoc training programs to both internal and external clients
• Facilitates WebEx training classes and group learning exercises.
• Designs and implements metrics to measure training programs and products impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility.
• Filters and distributes educational resources to customers.
• Coordinates training schedules - reserves rooms, manages training group size, and sends training communication.
• Develops online tutorials using open source screen, audio and video capture software or similar tools.
• Maintains professional interaction with end-users while delivering high-quality training services.
• Maintains training records for all training conducted and required documentation for company certifications.
• Develops and implements an ECLIPSE learning library and body of Knowledge.
• Develop, implement, and document Training development processes
• Develops and implements train the trainer programs
• Develops training surveys and feedback results, ultimately initiating and implementing recommendations to ensure highest impact and returns.
• Ensures consistency of training materials and communication by developing and maintaining standardized templates and approaches.
• Participates in Product meetings and other relevant in-house and outside meetings and seminars.
  

• 1st Class written and verbal(with public speaking) communication skills in English (and ideally at least another language of the EU)
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of Quality Management, Product Assurance and Project Management principles is a plus
• Experience in Training design and delivery
• Experience of producing training material to a very high quality
• Experience with WebEx web seminar tool
• Experience with screen casting software tools
• Experience with wiki software a plus
• Expert user of Microsoft office applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel
• Flexible and adaptable in nature so as to be able to work in a dynamic environment

• Experience of training personnel in a High reliability Engineering environment is plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, IT or Engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and training experience
• Minimum 3 years operating in a software training environment
• Extensive experience of providing training to a wide range of users in line with agreed standards.
• Extensive experience of training in an Engineering environment
• Ability to articulate complex information across a wide range of audiences
