Summary
Sapienza is looking to recruit an experienced Business Services Coordinator to report to the Head of the Project Control and Management Support Office, Earth Observation Projects Department. The post holder will be responsible for the SAP Service Delivery to the Department, the efficient utilisation of the corporate IT Solutions e.g. SAP, and the analysis, documentation and implementation of the business process Changes in the Department
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Department in the efficient utilisation of the corporate SAP solution for all the applicable processes, analysing problems and finding solutions;
- Providing local coaching and assistance to end users of the Department in the usage of the Financial Reform – SAP solution;
- Supporting the Department in coordination with corporate organisation units in designing and producing valuable Management-Reports with respect to the Finref SAP solution;
- Supporting the Department’s Project Controllers in the implementation of the new Cost Management Model and the production of Cost Centre level reports, including special reporting on major activities/projects, and performing related performance analysis;
- Support the Project Controllers in maintaining financial or procurement databases such as geographical return and cash and cost plans, actuals and deviations
- Perform SAP supported project control tasks e.g.
-Prepare and maintain procurement actions: shopping cards, CCNs,etc..
-Creating and maintaining milestone payment plans
-Actively and timely manage all invoice handling in projects - Analysing, documenting, maintaining the business processes of the Department;
- Coordinating SAP related local IT applications in regard to problem solving, changes and evolution.
Profile
- Applicants should have a university degree or equivalent qualification in computer science engineering and/or business administration with a strong background in the other area and extensive SAP expertise.
- Proven ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment including ESA corporate IT applications is expected. Past experience with ESA in relevant activities would be very valuable. Familiarity with the ESA Financial Management Reform will be a definitive advantage.
- Excellent proficiency in the use of tools advanced features, databases and specialised information systems (MS Office) including in particular advance usage of Excel.
- Good sense of contacts and communications. Reliability, rigor and initiative in the execution of the assigned work.
